For those who are new to 4X racing please take a good look at the race format as it is very different from DH racing. m. Why is insurance necessary? Mountain biking is a potentially dangerous sport so we are required to provide insurance protecting our organization, volunteers, racers, and venues. This insurance is paid by the Ontario Cycling Association (OCA) and by having you registered with the OCA they can better track riders, events, and ensure everyone contributes to the insurance pool based on their level of racing. Race Licences allow you to race internationally and at any mountain bike race. n. Why is event day registration more expensive? Pre-registration ensures that we know how many racers to take care of. We would prefer everyone pre-registers for our events, therefore we offer a price incentive. We close pre-registration every Thursday before the race weekend at 12pm noon. o. I want to be a paid marshall, volunteer, or volunteer my husband, wife or friend. How do I do that? Email us at info@sirbikealotracing.com and lunch is on us!!
